Kevin Leyden and Corey DeStefano presented the Hepatitis C Abstract at the Global Hepatitis Summitt in Los Angeles, CA 3/17/2025. Presentations were also made at IntNSA on Harm reduction nursing and the Hep C project 3/11-3/16/2025. Keystone Conference on TRANS health in Harrisburg on 3/19/2025-3/23/2025. The Team was at AIDS Watch in Washington DC and advocated on Capitol Hill 3/31-4/2/2025. Corey and Kevin will be presenting at EASL in Amsterdam on our projects 5/5-5/10/2025. Corey will provide a debrief at this Board Meeting and update on research activities, abstracts, and publications in progress. We also have abstracts that will be submitted to ID Week, APHA 2025, National Transgender Health Summit, IVHEM and INHSU. Abstracts and Presentations were approved for the following: Global Hepatitis Summitt in Los Angeles on 3/18-3/21/2025 and the International Viral Hepatitis Elimination Meeting in South Korea 9/12-9/15/2025, EASL 5/5-5/102025, National Transgender Summit 5/30-6/1/2025. Successful funding for 2 Hepatitis C Clinical Trials with AETA Pharmaceuticals on a new hepatitis c treatment First Person screened 4/3/2024 and with Abbott on those for High risk of Hepatitis C (Contract pending and regulatory review) Successful Renewal of the NJDOH BEH Grant for Federal and State funding for the High-Risk Heterosexual Cycle (HET). Collaboration between NJCRI and NJDOH on Press Release of TRANS Data Collection on Transgender Day of Visability in March. Town hall was done on the dissemination 4/3/2025 and we are working with the Essex County LGBTQ department to disseminate our data. Gilead Projects for DOT and TRANS Liver health have been approved by the IRB and Gilead to begin. Milestone 1-2 have been met and about $103,000 has been invoiced for payment. Milestone 3 will be the enrollment period which started March 2025 and we have enrolled for both DOT and TRANS Understanding African American/Black and Latine young and emerging adults living with HIV: A sequential explanatory mixed methods study focused on self-regulatory resources” We are delighted to let you know that the above submission, which you co-authored, has been accepted for publication in International Journal for Equity in Health. Newsletter items for Research: Gilead Awards NJCRI $412,000 in Investigator based trials for TRANS Liver health and Direct observed therapy in the homeless Hep C Population NJ REACT Team has hit and surpassed their goal of 500 eligible interviews for the PWID Cycle!! Not only did the team meet and surpass their goals for this cycle but they did it 6 weeks ahead of schedule and are in the top 5 nationwide for enrollment and HIV testing for the NHBS program NJ GURRRLS Finished the first ever TRANS NHBS Survey for the CDC/DOH on 6/1/2024 with 189 TRANS participants!! MMP Meets Benchmark 8 week early!
